Tour Overview:

This is our longest running workshop location and a favorite for many, for good reason. We’ll photograph fall colors in the Aspen groves of the Gunnison National Forest and the San Juan National Forest where there is a photograph every three steps. Golden Fall colors, big mountains and intimate scenes all around.

Gunnison National Forest is home to one of the world's largest Aspen groves with dramatic peaks of the Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. We'll start our tour here and explore the forest and mountain scenes working on compositional strategies in this amazing landscape. We'll also explore the San Juans and Uncompahgre National Forest for some of the most scenic mountain landscapes in the Southwest. You'll have the opportunity to photograph grand scenics along with more intimate forest scenes and even explore the macro world.
